Psychotherapy Center, Milan

A large open space basement with great unexplored potential finds new life through a delicate transformation project for the definition of a space for psychotherapy and psychodiagnosis in which various professionals in the sector can collaborate.

Confidentiality, quiet and harmony are the themes that dictated the lines of the project so as to be able to offer an optimal space for carrying out the delicate diagnosis and treatment activity.

The entrances to the four therapy offices, enhanced by a dark-colored wooden frame in relief, punctuate a long and sinuous white wall that represents the dominant element of the project. It never touches the ceiling, thus allowing natural light to penetrate to the heart of the architectural space where a reception and waiting area are located. The studios, on the other hand, enjoy natural light from a quiet internal courtyard lowered to the level of the floor. A service block and a small deposit complete the functional equipment.

The wonderful wooden works by the South Tyrolean artist Willy Verginer give the space a museum allure and enhance a contagious sense of domestic tranquility thanks to their naturalness that combines sculpture and painting.
