The building is located in the heart of the Serra San Bruno historical town next to the beautiful church of “Maria SS dei sette dolori”. The architectural work consists of a recovery of the twentieth century structure to become a holiday home.

The main facade looking towards the main town square has a relationship with a rich, local historical context. The addition of a vertical connecting structure created a contrast with the important volume of the main building.

The choice of wood covering strips creates a stereometric volume interacting with the existent one.

The stylistic elements which include artefacts, iron, wood, and stone are introduced as a dialogue between similarity and contrast, seeking out a new interpretation of contemporaneity and the tradition of local architecture.
